Welcome to ImagIS

ImagIS is a hands-on course on imaging acquisition in the immune system. During one week, the 12 participants will be given the opportunity to perform a full image acquisition experiment, using state of the art imaging tecniques. They will do this under the guidance of an internationally renowned faculty.

The 12 course participants will learn how to prepare samples (in vitro or in vivo), acquire images (using TIRF, confocal, and multi-photon microscopes), process them using available software, and present the data at the end of the week. There will be talks by experts in this area, demonstrating examples of how imaging has can be used to better answer questions on the immune system. Students will also have the opportunity to directly interact with these speakers during the week. Therefore, the course participants will be selected according to the quality and feasibility of submitted proposals until the deadline (April 2, 2010).
